How to Install Fonts - Mac, Windows & Linux

Install Fonts 

Download a font file from Akshara Type Studio or another source. Before installing the font, unzip / extract the folder containing font files from the .zip file you have downloaded. Fonts cannot be installed if they are zipped.
 

MacOS

  1. Double click the font file and Font Book app will open a preview of the font.
  2. Click Install Font at the bottom of the preview.

   

Windows

  1. Right-click on the fonts you want, and click Install.

Linux

  1. Copy the files in the system font directory on the path /usr/share/fonts/, or in a user font directory, either ~/.local/share/fonts/ or  /usr/local/share/fonts.


💡Tip

Make sure that you have uninstalled and removed any Trial font before installing the full version of the font, or you may experience malfunctions.
