How to enabling HarfBuzz text shaping engine in InDesign

 Install an HarfBuzz text shaping engine script: 

  1. Download HarfBuzz text shaping engine script
  2. Open Adobe InDesign.
  3. Go to Window > Utilities > Scripts.
  4. In the Scripts panel, right click on User and choose Reveal in Finder (MacOS) or Reveal in Explorer (Windows).
    5. Indesign-Scripts
  5. Copy the script file (eg. 'HarfBuzz.jsx') inside the Scripts Panel folder.Adobe Scripts-Folder
  6. And that's it! The script in now available in the Scripts panel > User. To activate or deactivate, just double click on the HarfBuzz.jsx.
    HarfBuzz Activated
